The Gas Safe Register
You will often hear about how important it is that Gas Engineers are Gas Safe registered. Why is this so important? Gas Safe is the official registration scheme in the UK, the Isle of Man and Guernsey for engineers dealing with gas appliances; The register is the official list of gas engineers who are qualified to work safely and legally on gas appliances. As of 1 April 2009 the Gas Safe Register replaces the previous CORGI scheme (you may have heard of that one!).
How does the Gas Safe Register works to protect the public from unsafe gas work?
